"Parsimony." It is being concise. It is the ability to look at the abstract and explain it through theory. Using less assumptions means that a phenomenon can be applied to a greater amount of like phenomena. Looking at abstract phenomenon can be explained through parsimony.
For purposes of these photos, it portrays an art and just as any painting, it used what was available to capture the eye of the beholder, thus, it was manufactured and created resulting in the final product, the photographs.
