Revisionisim. It is the idea of looking at political theory and reworking it to adjust to social normativity. Revisionisim updates the theory so it can be used in modernity.
For purposes of these photos, it portrays an art and just as any painting, it used what was available to capture the eye of the beholder, thus, it was manufactured and created resulting in the final product, the photographs.
